The Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) formally known as Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) represents an annual review of the City's audited financial statements and paints a picture of the City's financial status. The City has been awarded the Government Finance Officer Association's Certificate of Achievement in Financial Reporting for the ACFR from 2010 to 2021.

The Finance Department is located on the second floor of Fountain City Hall.
Annual Budget
The budget for the City of Fountain establishes spending priorities for each calendar year, running from January 1 through December 31. The Finance Director works with the City Manager and departmental directors and managers to deliver a proposed budget for approval by City Council. Council in turn reviews and provides direction to City staff for modification, and then ultimately approves the budget by the end of the year.
